Declutter, Declutter, and Declutter - focus on less rather than more…

Declutter, Declutter, and Declutter - focus on less rather than more…
One of the most meaningful words in our dictionary is “declutter.” Declutter means making your space free of all that is unnecessary for your survival.
Decluttering of mental space:
This is one of the key components of a healthy life. For many people their mental space is unable to fit in anything more productive. Why? Because it is already full of concepts, and chatter that provide no usefulness to life. When a cup is already full to the brim, how can you fill it up with any more?

How to declutter mental space: Meditate, spend some time in self-introspection, invest in some alone time, spend time reading words of wisdom to strengthen your inner potential, spend some time in journaling to provide further clarity of thoughts; all these activities support decluttering of your mental space giving room to other critical concepts needed to grow.

Decluttering of physical space:
In general, humans are hoarders. We hoard anything and everything. Gradually we do not even know what to acquire and what not to acquire, and the physical space we live in becomes so congested with “stuff” that no wonder our minds start feeling congested as well. We forget what is important and what is not, and progress stops.

How to declutter physical space: Go through your physical space where you live and start paying attention to one corner at a time. Get some open recyclable cartons and start dumping all those things that you have not used in a year through all the seasons. Most likely these are things you will never use. There may be exceptions, of course, and you can sort these out in another box for safekeeping. Make good use of these things you do not need, by giving away to charitable institutions. It is very likely that things you have no use for may be usable by others. Think twice before going to stores and sales if you do not need anything, for human mind is such that whether it needs or not it wants to buy things on sale! Just because something looks good or pretty does not mean that it needs to be in your home; it can be admired from far as well. Use your money wisely and on things you need, not want. Instead of roaming around in shops, take a brisk walk in fresh air.

Instead of investing in things, invest in acquiring educational tools to grow your mental space. Invest in decluttering your space inside and outside. Begin the process of decluttering and see your life expand in proportions you never imagined. J
