Do not stretch yourself thin doing mundane stuff…

Do not stretch yourself thin doing mundane stuff Be aware of how you are spending your time on a day to day basis…
Is every minute of your day planned out for some course of action?
Planning out your schedule effectively is one of the best ways to enrich and grow yourself. The question is what have you put in your day to day schedule. Some critical questions to ponder over…
1. Are you waking up in the morning whenever you feel like? Or is there a scheduled wake up time that which effectively carries you through the rest of the day?
2. As soon as you get out of bed, is it hurry, hurry, hurry…? Or are you relaxed since you have given yourself plenty of time to get going with whatever the plans for the day may be?
3. Do you start your day off with no self-reflection time? Or are you spending your first moments of the day establishing your connection with your Higher Self? Your God? In some meditation and self analysis? Some gratitude time? This need not be in hours…
4. Do you go about your day as it comes along…? Or do you have a checklist of actions that you need to take, with the top 3-5 as the most critical activities (and very likely your least favorite) that you accomplish no matter what?
5. Are you one of those who thinks, “I have been running around all day and so I got my exercise done!”? Or do have a scheduled time devoted to a very essential fitness program?
6. Have you stretched yourself thin throughout the day running around, doing all kinds of activities as they came along, always for everyone else, and then getting overwhelmed in the process? Or do you have a “Me Time” even for a few minutes each day, just to “come together?”
7. Are you one of those who eat whatever you can get without paying attention to the nutritional value of the food? Or are you by and large making sure that you fulfill your nutritional needs daily?
8. Are you one of those who have the nutritional supplement sitting on your countertop, but which has not been touched or is being taken sporadically? Or are you making sure that your nutritional supplemental needs are being met?
9. Are you spending time in front of your electronic entertainment system patting your back that you are relaxing? Or are you spending this valuable time really relaxing your tired mind? Maybe this is time you are spending relaxing and communicating with family members?
10. Are you still working until late night with work that you have not been able to complete during your office hours? Or are you one of those who have some scheduled time to meet your own passions?
11. Are you going to bed whenever you find time? Whenever you cannot stay on your feet anymore, struggling with exhaustion, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, feeling of being overwhelmed, and restlessness? Or are you one of those who have tackled the negative emotions in a fruitful manner, putting down on paper an action plan for the next day before going to bed?
12. Are you one of those who have no time for a nightly, relaxing ritual? Or are you the kind who has put some time aside for cleansing and massaging yourself for a restful night before bed?
13. Is your last thought before sleep full of anxiety? Or was your last thought before sleep that of peace, gratitude for all that you have, prayer?
Many of us are guilty of not following guidelines for a simple, happy and successful life, and yet we never think twice before launching into complaints…
For me it has been work in progress, with awareness of those things that I have yet not been able to accomplish, and gradually working my way towards it, for I will get there… J
